Need help with the LT Control™ Application Controller?
Select from the list of frequently asked questions and troubleshooting tips below to find the answer.
Q: How do I get into the calibrate mode?
A: Turn the master switch to the Off position, hold the Blast button, and turn the vehicle on.
Q: How do I get rid of the E1 message?
A: Turn the master switch to the Off position before turning the vehicle on. E1 indicates the master switch is in the Manual or Auto position.
Q: When in the calibrate mode, how can I tell what my offset and saturation point is?
A: Turn the dial all the way to the right, and the saturation point will flash up. Turn it back to the left (zero), and the offset point will flash up. Both are in percentages from 0-100 (100=00).
Q: When in the calibrate mode, how can I tell whether I am setting my offset and saturation point?
A: The left decimal point will light up when setting the offset, and the right decimal point will light up when setting the saturation point.
Q: What PWM valve frequency should I be operating at?
A: SFCC15 cartridges should be set at 250hz (LT comes programmed this way). The HydraForce should be set at 110hz.
Q: The operators are throwing salt too far. How do I minimize the spinner’s maximum speed?
A: Enter calibrate mode and minimize the saturation point of the spinner valve to the desired speed.
Q: I am getting an E0 message whenever I try to operate in auto.
A: The ground speed has not been set in the calibrate mode. Redo the ground speed set point. If this doesn’t work, check the speedometer cable connections, then replace the speedometer cable.
Q: I am spreading too much salt. How can I decrease my rate?
A: You can lower the maximum speed by decreasing the saturation point. If the conveyor is turning too fast at the lowest dial setting, then you need to lower the offset point.
Q: Why does the valve run full open in auto and manual all the time?
A: Valve is sticking or the offset point is set too high.
Q: How do I get the conveyor to stop running when the operator is stopped?
A: You must operate in auto mode and have the ground speed reference point set into the LT Control™ Application Controller.
