PM300 FAQs

Q: The console won’t turn on.
A: This may be the result of one of the following issues: 1. Blown fuse. 2. Battery connections. Don’t use an in-cab convenience plug. 3. Damaged power cable. 4. Control console is defective.

Q: Can I use a RPM sensor such as a reluctance sensor for ground speed?
A: No, the PM300 is not compatible with a reluctance sensor. You can use a Radar, iSpeed, or Hall Effect Sensor.

Q: My PM300 won’t quit counting acres even when I lift the planter. It’s also showing speed. What’s wrong?
A: You may have pushed the Speed and Area button. In this mode, it will not quit counting acres unless you have an implement lift switch and harness attached or manually hit the Enter button when the square is highlighted. Speed is the only other option. Push the Operate button to show normal operation. This is an added feature to use for non-planting applications.

Q: Is there a quicker way to clear my acres?
A: Yes, make sure you are in operate mode and the acre accumulator you want to erase is at the top of the screen. Then, push and hold escape for three seconds and it will clear.

Q: My ground speed sensor has malfunctioned. Can I run the PM300 in manual?
A: Yes, push the Ground Speed set-up button, scroll down to the manual speed selection (the tractor with an arrow pointing forward), and enter a manual ground speed. As a precaution, try to run the same speed as you entered in order to keep your population close.

Q: Is there any way to increase or decrease the screen so I can see it better?
A: Yes, press the Display and Service button, scroll down to the light bulb, press Enter and using the up and down arrows adjust the backlight. Press Enter when done.

Q: Is there any way to adjust the volume of the alarm?
A: Yes, press the Display and Service button, scroll down to the speaker, press Enter and using the up and down arrows adjust the volume. Press Enter when done.

Q: Can the PM300 do flow other than seed?
A: Yes, press the Accy. setup button, and select what you want the monitor to do and calibrate accordingly.

Q: Can I change the font size?
A: Yes, press the Display and Service button, scroll down to the lower screen icon (three boxes with 1-2-3 across the top) and press Enter. Then, scroll down to the magnifying glass, press Enter, and adjust accordingly using the up and down arrows. Press Enter when done.

Q: Can I use the PM300 to count acres in certain places and still keep a running total?
A: Yes, push the Speed and Area button. Start and stop any counter you like.
