Confidence In Your Results - GAC® 2500-AGRI
New Moisture Tester Standard Launched in 2012
On August 1st, 2012, the GIPSA/FGIS division of the USDA mandated that all moisture meters used in official inspections be based on the new 149-MHz/UGMA technology. The new technology provided many benefits including increased accuracy, faster analysis times, expanded grain temperature range, and an improvement on the soybean rebound effect. Since that time, thousands of elevators have upgraded their grain moisture meter to the new technology. In fact, it is estimated that 50% of elevators in the United States use a 149-MHz/UGMA moisture tester at the grain receiving scale.
How does this impact you?
The new UGMA moisture meters at the elevators have superior accuracy over traditional moisture meters used on the farm. To ensure top accuracy, and readings that match the elevator, consider upgrading to the DICKEY-john GAC® 2500-AGRI, designed to deliver results straight to your bottom line:
- Control your drying process and optimize propane usage
